About us

Concentus Choir is an ambitious amateur choir with a focus on the classical repertoire. We have performed works such as Fauré’s Requiem, Stravinsky’s Symphony of Psalms, and Poulenc’s Stabat Mater. When we are not working on major works, we often develop projects around a particular theme, selecting an engaging repertoire in collaboration with our conductor.

The choir is led by conductor and composer Toke Brorson Odin, who, in addition to his work with the choir, also composes music for film. Toke graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Music and has also studied musicology at the University of Copenhagen.

Every six months, the choir prepares a new and challenging repertoire, which we perform both at our own concerts and as part of larger events.

In addition to music, the choir places great emphasis on its social community through informal gatherings, our biannual choir weekend, post-rehearsal get-togethers, and much more.

The choir has several committees that ensure its members have a voice in the choir’s activities and development. This also means that we have many hands working together behind the scenes, making it possible to create memorable concerts, exciting trips, fun parties, and enjoyable weekly rehearsals.
